Zulu Game Fishing Charters & Levante Fishing Charters are based in beautiful Port Douglas, Queensland, a 45 min drive to the north of Cairns. This popular holiday spot is known for its luxurious resorts, and is the perfect spot to explore the Great Barrier Reef and tropical rainforest.
Zulu Gamefishing Charters can offer you convenient private charter options on the Coral Sea and outer reef, and can also organise a mothership, additional fishing vessels and flight transfers for their guests. Their fleet includes two game fishing vessels, and their own mothership is soon to be included.
The 54’ Assegai ‘Zulu’ is a custom-built fishing vessel that was released in 2015. It can accommodate up to seven anglers on day trips, and up to five anglers for liveaboard charters. This beauty boasts some of the most modern technology on Australian waters, including a Seakeepr gyro, Furuno omni-directional sonar, and a complete range of custom-made rods, reels and terminal tackle (8-60kg) to suit all targeted species. It also features a fighting chair, flybridge, large stainless-steel kitchen, three cabins and two bathrooms, air-conditioning (with temperature control in each room), Wi-Fi, saloon with flatscreen TV, surround sound system, and automatic slide down back windows so you don’t miss the action on the back deck.
The crew offer both private day charters and extended trips, with their most popular option being 3-8 day private trips for up to four anglers. Exciting fish species that you may encounter include Black Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, and more! Trips include all fishing gear and bait, and are fully catered including non-alcoholic beverages. Each adventure can be tailored to suit your desires, so if you are wishing to spend the morning popper fishing on the reef’s edge, set on trolling the deep waters, or dreaming of snorkelling among untouched areas of the reef, the crew will work hard to make your trip unforgettable.
