The boat you’ll be fishing from is a 25’ Argo that accommodates up to 6 guests. This simple and stable boat has everything you’ll need for your day on the water - a cooler, rods, reels, lures, and navigational electronics. For all guests who enjoy swimming in crystal clear water, there’s also snorkeling gear available.

Fly fishing is usually considered an advanced technique but anyone can learn it with a bit of patience and practice. This is how you’ll catch some of the most beautiful species that inhabit shallow water, such as Permit, Tarpon, Snook, and Bonefish. If you’re more into trolling and bottom fishing, you can go after Kingfish, Amberjack, Barracuda, Spanish Mackerel, Snapper, and Grouper.

All trips are family-friendly adventures you can share with your kids, even if they are too young to catch the fish themselves. After the trip, the crew will share the catch with you and clean it. They also cover your fishing license, equipment, and drinking water.

Great Fishing Experience

Full Day Inner Reef Fishing & Troll on October 1, 2025 • 4 adults

We fished 2 days with Jaime and Rosa. We caught fish both days with a diversity of methods. The first day, we trolled the inner reef and dropped some bait lines. I cant even count how many fish we caught. There were 4 people in our group and everyone caught multiple fish. The second day, Jaime rigged up a fly rod and took us to the flats where we waded for Permit and Boone Fish. Once again, he delivered and we caught some some Boone Fish. After fly fishing, we went to deeper water and did more trolling. We caught a variety of larger fish including snapper, barracuda, jack, and yellowtail. Overall, it was a great experience!

Outstanding day on the water

Captain Jaime and his wife, Rosa, greeted us warmly in the morning, extending their hospitality right away—even ensuring our bicycles were safely locked up (though it wasn't really necessary). From the moment we hit the water, Jaime's lifetime of experience fishing these waters became clear. He immediately put us on the fish, and the action lasted an incredible 7 ½ hours. My wife not only landed her first snook but also her 20th. As for me, I managed to pull off a Belizean grand slam—reeling in snook, tarpon, and permit. By the end of the day, our arms were exhausted, and we had caught enough snook to feed the village. An unforgettable day on the water with great company and even better fishing!

Just Book it!!

Full Day fishing & Snorkelling on March 30, 2025 • 4 adults

Our family of four booked four days of fishing/snorkeling with Captain Jamie and could not of been happier! We hope to be back to Hopkins, Belize and would hands down book him again. He is a very knowledgeable fishing guide with years of experience. He is excellent at reading the weather and water. He is easy to work with and ethical. He takes guest safety very seriously. We loved meeting and fishing with his wife Rose. Most importantly he was able to get us on multiple fish every day! We had a couple of days that were too windy to go out to the reef but Captain Jamie was able to still take us to a Lagoon where we caught Snook and Tarpon. Reef fishing and snorkeling for conch was fabulous. Captain Jamie was always amendable to catering to our needs. Fishing and snorkeling with Captain Jamie made our trip to Belize!!

This fishing trip was so much fun! My wife and I brought our 4 boys out to see if we could catch some fish with Jamie and he did not disappoint!! Highly recommend booking a trip with him as he accommodates anything you might need. Jamie was so patient with our 6 yr old and kept us on the fish all day long. The family really enjoyed the time snorkeling as well. At the end of the day, we had a pile of 40 fish and a few conch as well!! Go ahead and just book some time with Jamie!!
