Plettenberg Bay Fishing
Join Garden Route Fishing in Plett for a memorable day of fishing fun and games on Plettenberg Bay! With an experienced crew to show you around and put you on the best action, you’re in for an exciting exploration of the productive South African waters.
All the captains are locals who spent a big part of their lives fishing in the bay, so they know all the tricks and hiding spots of the fish. They go the extra mile to organize engaging trips for their customers, and for them, safety always comes first. That’s why the boat is equipped with all the necessary safety gear so you can have an enjoyable and safe day on the water
Your guide has a variety of trips on offer, both shared and private, and you can pick the one that suits your preferences and fishing appetites. On shorter excursions, you’ll stay closer to shore, and target the local favorites like Shad, Grunt, Barracuda, Bonito, King Mackerel, and that’s just to name a few.
Full day expeditions will take you further offshore, to the bluewater – the playground of Kob, Snoek, and many more. All the tackle you need will be provided, and your guide will be at your side at all times to assist with everything.
When you come back from your trip, you can have your catch cleaned and filleted, and you can also learn how to do it yourself. It’s all about that hands-on experience!
The boat you’ll be casting your line from is a 28’ saltwater fisher, well-suited for the local fishing conditions. There’s room on board for up to 10 anglers to fish at the same time. The vessel sports reliable navigational electronics to take you the best bite and outriggers to extend your fishing reach. Rods, reels, live bait, and lures will be provided for you, so you don’t have to bring your gear.
Before the trip, make sure to buy a fishing license and stock up on drinks and food, to stay energized as you’re reeling in your catch. Let new fishing adventures with Garden Route Fishing in Plett begin!
