Gardi Crew – 26'
Explore the fishing abundance of Playa del Carmen with knowledgeable Gardi Crew! These guys have years of experience in the local waters and they’re experts in putting their customers on the best bite around.
Captain Joel and his first mate will welcome you aboard their 26’ Imemsa center console “Dory.” The boat is well-suited for different types of fishing and rigged with an 85 HP Yamaha engine. There’s room on board to fit up to 4 anglers, as well as all the necessary fishing equipment.
You’ll have a fighting chair to help you fight the giants of the deep, excellent navigational electronics, and outriggers to cover more water. Live bait, lures, and quality rods and reels are also provided, so you don’t have to lug your own. If you’d like, you can also combine fishing and snorkeling on your trip, the captain will have snorkeling gear for everyone.
When it comes to the fish you’ll be targeting, suffice it to say that there’s a species galore in these prolific waters. Depending on your fishing appetite and how much time you want to spend on the water, you can chase anything from King Mackerel and Mahi Mahi to Amberjack and Black Grouper.
On full day trips, Billfish and Tuna are the stars of the show, especially White Marlin, Blue Marlin, and Sailfish. They are the most prized catches, both because they’re relentless fighters and they can grow to be giant. Hooking one of those is a feat of strength and skill, which is why seasoned anglers often choose the full day trips.
When you come back to land, the crew will clean and fillet whatever you decide to keep, so that you can enjoy the fruits of your hard work the very same day. Capt. Joel will take care of everything you need for your fishing expedition – licenses, boat, gear, drinks, expert advice – and all you have to think about is what snacks to bring.
Ready for your next fishing bonanza? Hop aboard and let Gardi Crew lead the way!
