You can take your pick between half day and full day trips, depending on how much time you want to spend on the waves and what you’d like to target. On shorter excursions, bottom fishing for Grouper, Snapper, and Jacks is the name of the game. If you choose an 8-hour expedition, you get to chase Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, and more.
The trip will begin as soon as you come aboard the captain’s 31’ Bertram that is perfectly suited for your fishing endeavors and can accommodate up to 5 anglers. The boat has everything you could possibly need including a fighting chair, outriggers, tuna tubes, and a flybridge to spot birds and schools of fish from afar. There’s also a private toilet on board, for your convenience.
Capt. Victor will have Okuma rods and reels ready for you to use and if you’d like to do some fly fishing, he can provide the equipment, though it’s recommended to bring your own gear. For any help you need, the first mate Antonio will be at your disposal. Feel free to bring your own food and drinks.
Before you meet with the captain, be sure to buy a fishing license (preferable to pay for it in pesos). Everything else will be taken care of by Baja Raiders Sportfishing!
