North Sea And Fjord Safari

When you’re looking for deep sea fishing in Norway, take a trip with North Sea And Fjord Safari. They are based at Stavanger port, right at the gate to the North Sea. Experience the beautiful scenery in the fjords around Stavanger and in Rogaland or visit fjords and steep cliffs in Lysefjord.

The boat you’ll be fishing from is a 70’ motor yacht, formerly used as a SAR vessel (search and rescue). There’s enough room for 12 guests to join on a day trip. The boat is equipped with Furuno navigational electronics and the latest fishing equipment.

You’ll enjoy a full home comfort on the boat during multiday trips, as she features a private bathroom with warm water, a kitchen, and bunk cabins for 5 guests to sleep on board. The crew can cover meals at your request for an additional price, or you can bring your own food.

You’ll mainly target Haddock, Cod, Pollock, Whiting, and Atlantic Mackerel. You can keep the catch within regulations and end the adventure with tasty fish you can prepare at home or enjoy it at a restaurant.

The crew will provide you with the necessary fishing gear for bottom fishing down to 70 meters. If you are an avid angler, you can bring your own equipment. The crew always provides lures and live bait (Mackerel or Herring).

Spending a day or two with North Sea And Fjord Safari isn’t just a fishing quest. It’s also an adventure that takes you closer to the beauties of Rogaland.

I've been working at sea since I was 16 years old. First as Merchant Seaman for 13 years and last 36 years in Oil Industry in the North Sea. My education is Chief Engineer and still holder of M1 certificate. I'm also educated as a Coastal Captain and holder of D5 coastal captain certificate. In the oil industry, I've been Offshore Installation Manager for the last 20 years. My passion has always been old wooden boats, and purchasing RS56 Olav Ringdal Jr was nothing but a must to me. It's my 3rd wooden veteran boat. I feel very qualified to bring passengers out for a trip and to make the trip as safe as possible and as joyful as possible too of course.
