If you’re looking to explore the diverse and exciting fishing grounds that Richmond, CA has to offer, make sure that a visit to Barbarian Sportfishing charters is at the top of your list!

From hunting prehistoric Sturgeon, to chasing wild Salmon, to casting a line for tasty Halibut and more, Captain John Badger will have you experiencing the best that Northern California ‘s waters have to offer. Come aboard!

Capt. John prides himself on running a customer-oriented charter that’s also affordable. You can opt for a shared trip and make some new angling buddies, or have your captain’s expert advice and knowledge all to yourself on a private trip.

Capt. John caters to anglers of all skill levels, too. Brand new? Your captain and his deckhand warmly welcome you to join them on an adventure and will teach you everything you need to know. More experienced angler looking for that prize catch? This team is more than willing to share their local angling secrets!

And when it comes to the angling action on offer, Richmond’s California fishing opportunities are some of the best on the north coast. If you’re looking to hook huge Halibut or chase Chinook Salmon, your trip will mostly be spent in the middle of San Francisco Bay, and traveling along this scenic coast.

For excellent Sturgeon opportunities, you’ll head to nearby Martinez and face-off against these prehistoric beasts. If you want to hook a seriously big fish and earn some bragging rights, this is the adventure for you.

You’ll be traveling on board your captain’s 28’ Farallon saltwater fishing vessel, with room for up to 6 guests. Little ones age 2 and above are welcome on board, and Capt. John welcomes new anglers, so why not bring the whole family along?

Your vessel is decked out with top-quality navigational and safety gear, as well as a toilet and heated cabin. All fishing gear is included, so all you need to do is grab a fishing license and cast off on an exciting adventure aboard Barbarian Sportfishing!

Captain John grew up in Rodeo, CA, and started commercial Halibut fishing in the 80s. He wanted to expand his business by taking other people fishing. Even though he charges people to fish, a genuine smile is the best tip for him and his crew! He believes that if he can make you happy, his job is complete.
