Fish where two oceans meet at South Africa’s southern tip with Ocean Charters! Head out of L’Agulhas, a coastal holiday town known for some of the hottest fishing in the Southern Hemisphere, with Skipper Bertie Swart. He’s a local pro with over two decades of experience!
Your vessel for the day is a 28’ Carry Cat saltwater fishing boat, powered by twin 150 HP Yamaha engines. With a cruising speed of 40 knots, this one gets to you to all the productive spots fast! She’s got plenty of seating for all 6 guests and a mobile toilet to keep you comfortable during long trips. Don’t miss out on the chance to battle it out with the big ones from the best seat in the house, the fighting chair!
L’Agulhas fishing is unique due to its location at the point where the warm waters of the Indian Ocean collide with the cold Atlantic. The result is insanely fueled marine life! You’ll battle it out with Mako, Blue, and Thresher Sharks, or opt to chase Tuna, Yellowtail Amberjack (Kingfish), and Mahi Mahi! The choice is yours.
Skipper Bertie provides all of the gear you need for maximum productivity, as well as live bait. At the end of the trip, he and his first mate are happy and clean and fillet your catch for easy transport home. There are bottled water and soft drinks on board but be sure to pack any other drinks and food to enjoy throughout the day.
Since you’re fishing where two oceans meet, the waters can get choppy. Bring seasickness medication if you’re sensitive to the boat rocking. Lastly, don’t forget to pick up a fishing license before you arrive at the dock. What are you waiting for? Book with Ocean Charters and fish one of the most unique locations around!
