The Liliana team was amazing! They had coffee ready for us, we’re very attentive to the lines, changing them out and getting us excited to bring in the Mahi Mahi. The boat was clean and nice with a bathroom and spacious with a top area to look out with a front area where our kids could all lay out on. They’re all excited to go again on a longer trip! Highly recommend!!! After catching all the fish, David filleted one and they made fresh ceviche for us. It was also fabulous!

I have fished Puerto Vallarta several times and have been fortunate to have caught several sailfish, marlin, and crevalle Jacks.  This year I wanted to target mahi mahi (Dorado).  Once we were outside the bay and the lines were set the mahi mahi started biting.  We caught (3) in the first hour and a total of (6) 15-20 lb’ers before the end of the day.  Martin and Jorge were very accommodating and the boat was in excellent condition.  As always we saw whales, dolphins, and sea turtles.  I would highly recommend the Liliana 40 and her amazing crew.  I will definitely be back again.

Captain Andrés and his crew were awesome to myself, my 10 year old Son and my father in law.  They had everything we needed and picked us up at Nuevo Vallarta marina which was easier to get to from our hotel. They arrived right on time with hot coffee and pastries for breakfast.  It took about two hours to get to the fishing grounds. On the way out Captain Andrés gave told us all about the area and pointed out several humpback whales and turtles.

When we got to the fishing grounds the captain was quick to find the schools of Mahi as we hooked 3 or 4 fish in the first 30 minutes. The crew was fast to get the lines back in the water as we turned back toward where we got the first fish.  That’s when it got crazy!  We got one hit, and then within 10 seconds all 5 our lines were hit!  While myself and my father in law were reeling in our fish the crew helped my son bring his in.  Then it was all action for the next couple of hours. I lost count as we were fishing, but we ended up with 16 Mahi including 2 very nice bulls!

When things settled down the crew made sandwiches for lunch along with fresh ceviche from the fish we caught and guacamole. The ceviche was the best I’ve ever had! 

We had an enjoyable ride back to the marina. Along the way we talked with the captain and crew and enjoyed the plethora of beverages that they supplied. We trolled as we headed back and caught a skip Jack tuna! Bonus fish! We let this one go, so he will be waiting for you when you come fishing on the Liliana!

The captain even offered to pack our fish in a cooler with dry ice and bring it to the airport when we depart so we can bring it home! 

This boat and crew are ideal for those looking to take their first deep sea fishing trip as they take care of everything and are happy to explain what’s going on so you can learn a lot. They are also great if you are experienced as they know the waters of PV very well.

I would recommend a trip of at least 8 hours. Anything less isn’t enough time to get out of the bay and you won’t have as much luck. I did a 6 hour trip a few years ago with a different boat and that was a mistake.

The boat was older, but clean and well kept.  Cabin was comfortable but we spent most of our time on the top deck to enjoy the beautiful weather, scenery and talk with the captain.

I want to emphasize how awesome the crew was!  The Captain told us great stories and was fun to be around. He was great with my son.

Thank you Captain Andés and crew for an amazing trip!  I know we will all remember this one for the rest of our lives.

You will not regret booking the Liliana.

We fished two full days back to back on the Liliana and had a great time. Unfortunately, the fish just weren’t biting for anyone because other anglers, captains, and deck hands I talked to at the marina came home with even less than we did. Although the fishing was slow, we did catch some great Dorado and had fun with the crew. All of the crew were extremely dedicated to making our day the best it could be.

As everyone else has said on here, Pepe makes incredible ceviche with your fresh fish if you want. He is also very interesting to learn from and share stories with. I felt like Andrés did a great job trying to understand what my personal goals for the trip were and was honest about what he believed was realistic so that we could make the most of our trip. Jennifer also did an excellent job helping both Andrés and Pepe as well as making sure we were comfortable with beer, water, and snacks.

In the end, we had so much fun we will definitely be returning in the future to try our luck again aboard the Liliana with Andrés, Pepe, and Jennifer.

The boat is awesome. Lots of space. There were 5 of us. The crew was attentive. We caught several tuna and Mahi. In fact we caught a 54” Mahi, the largest ever caught on this boat! They made fresh ceviche from a Tuna we caught and it has to be the best I’ve had to date. Also the fresh gaucamole was awesome. Great experience and would highly recommend. This is the boat you want if you plan to go deep off shore!
