Taking a trip with Kick Ass Outdoors is one of the best ways to turn a cold and slow winter into a hot adventure! Join Capt. Terry any time between January and March on an ice fishing trip. Anglers of all skill levels are welcome to join! You’ll have a great time even if you’ve never fished before, let alone caught fish from a frozen lake.

These trips take place all around Michigan, on over 20 lakes in the Saginaw Bay area. While Saginaw Bay offers Perch and Walleye as the main prize, other spots hold large amounts of Herring, Northern Pike, Lake Trout, and Burbot. Just get in touch with the captain, tell him how you imagined your trip and he’ll find the best place.

One of the perks of ice fishing trips is that you can’t get seasick. You’ll reach your fishing spot on a snowmobile and start the action in a heated shanty. There’s enough room for 6 guests in the shanty, so bring along your friends, family, and kids (if they are over 9 years old). The captain will drill a hole in the ice using Strike Master augers and provide you with rods, reels, and lures.

Please bring a helmet for the snowmobile ride. You’ll need to purchase your fishing license and prepare snacks and drinks. Warm clothing and boots go without saying, if you want to enjoy your time on a frozen lake.
