I was laid off in May 2016 from the oilfield and at the same time, my son was also diagnosed with cancer. I immediately had to find an alternative resource for my family to survive. I've had "Revelry" (my 27' Catamaran) since 2012 and figured that I must sell her to make ends meet until I found another job. My wife told me that I should put the boat to work with my love of fishing. I had met Captain Scott at a networking mixer in the Woodlands while we both still worked in the oilfield. He had his captain's license so we talked about chartering the boat, although, at the time I didn’t really care much for the idea because I didn't want to lose my love of fishing. However, it didn't take long after my wife convinced me to get to work. In the first 5 months of 2016, we fished with over 1,000 customers. We now have 6 boats in the fleet!! I am a USCG and state of Texas licensed guide, a certified Weighmaster (IGFA/state record certification), and Texas Director of Saltwater Tournaments.
