Five-O Fishing Charters – Detroit
Fish a premier destination for trophy Walleye with Five-O Fishing Charters! Millions of Walleye travel down to the Detroit River system, following the warm weather and rising water temperatures, every year from late March through to the end of May. If you’re hoping to land those 10-pounders, this is the time to go!
You’ll head out with Captain Keith Zarembski, a Great Lakes fishing guide with over 40 years of experience. Board his 21’ Hewes Craft Sea Runner, perfect for 4 anglers looking to fish at the same time. She’s got a Bimini top that provides full enclosure from the elements, a trolling motor, planer boards, dipsy divers, and downriggers.
Ideally, you’ll start out on the lower river system, near the Trenton Channel, to entice the Walleye’s bite. The water tends to be warmer here and it’s where the fish congregate before continuing their migration upriver. The most effective method for hooking Walleye here is vertical jigging with the help of the trolling motor. It’s super easy to learn and you’ll be addicted from the minute you feel that Walleye hit the lure!
All your rods, reels, and tackle are provided and Capt. Keith is happy to clean and fillet your catch too. Just be sure to bring a cooler to transport your catch home in. You’re free to bring any drinks and snacks and make sure to dress for the weather. Most importantly, don’t forget to pick up a valid fishing license before you arrive for your trip.
Experience some of the best Walleye fishing around and hook yourself a trophy with Five-O Fishing Charters!
