Socal Fishing Charters - Oceanside
Spending a day on the boat with Socal Fishing Charters is one of the best ways to explore southern California. Based in Dana Point and San Diego, from now on you can find Captain Jonathan Stroh in Oceanside as well. As always, the season never stops and you can start your trip any time of year.
Your Californian adventure starts when you board a 25’ custom Winner boat. This walkaround has a comfortable cabin, a private toilet, and even a bed to rest in case fishing exhausts you. She may be a comfy thing of beauty, but she’s also a mean fishing machine. There’s a flybridge, navigational electronics, a live bait tank, and trolling equipment.
The list of your possible catch seems endless but we’ll try to mention the most important fish. Nearshore reefs hold lots of Halibut, Seabass, Barracuda, and Rockfish. If you’re aiming for a bigger challenge, go further off the coast for Marlin, Swordfish, Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Yellowtail Amberjack, and more. You can keep most of the catch and the crew will clean it for you free of charge.
When it comes to fishing equipment – they’ve got you fully covered. The crew prepares rods, reels, live bait, and lures. If you discuss it in advance, they can even prepare spearfishing and snorkeling equipment. If you want to make your trip look even more epic (and have something to brag with), the crew can film everything with a GoPro camera for an extra charge.
All you need to do is purchase your fishing license. There’s hardly a more exciting way to spend your day in California, but if you can think of anything – Socal Fishing Charters will do their best to make it happen! Join them for your next trip!
