Big Water Boating – Grand Canyon Skywalk

Visit the Grand Canyon and take a ride on the wild side with Big Water Boating! Your guide for the day, Eric Richins, has over 10 years of experience guiding wilderness trips and is an expert light tackle and fly fisherman. He caters his trips to all ages and skill levels and welcomes you aboard to catch fish and enjoy one of America’s most untouched landscapes.

Your boat for the day is a 17’ Smoker Craft jet boat, ideal for fishing the surrounding shallows, rivers, and lakes of Las Vegas. She comes with a GPS, fishfinder, outriggers, a fighting chair, and a live bait tank. The boat accommodates up to 3 guests and everyone can fish at the same time without rubbing elbows.

Eric offers half-day, full-day, and overnight camping trips where you’ll be able to explore the Colorado River as well as Lakes Mead and Mohave. He’ll take you out to the Black Canyon and Arizona Water Trails, visit the hot springs, and take in the wonderful scenery. All trips are private, meaning it will be just you and your closest ones enjoying the experience.

You’ll be able to target hard-fighting trophy fish such as Rainbow Trout, Steelhead, Stripers, Catfish, Sunfish, Smallies, and Largemouth Bass. Once you reach the fishing grounds, you can try out a few techniques like casting, jigging, trolling, handlining, or bottom fishing.

You’ll be provided with top-quality Ugly Stik, Orvis, and Daiwa equipment, as well as live bait and lures. Just be sure to bring sun protection, comfortable clothing, and your fishing license (Arizona or Nevada), and the rest will be covered. After your trip, Eric will offer to clean and fillet your catch, so you can take it home for a savory meal.

Come experience the beautiful Grand Canyon and all of its wonders. Big Water Boating is ready to take you on an adventure, so book your trip and get ready for an unforgettable experience!

I've been fishing my whole life, mostly fly fishing. As I got into guiding wilderness trips and working as a wilderness river ranger, my fishing techniques and interests grew. After over a decade of guiding and getting a Master’s degree in Freshwater Ecology, I decided I should run my own outfit.
