Resting on the banks of North Ohio, Lake Erie is a superb fishing ground and the best spot in the world for fishing Walleye. To help you do this is Erie Outlaw Fishing, who’ll take you out onto the waters in search of them. These guys specialize in small, intimate trips of up to 3 people but a fourth person can be squeezed in.
A 19’ Crestliner aluminum boar is what you’ll be taken out on. Although it’s a small craft it certainly packs a punch with it’s 200 HP engine able to take you up to 45 knots. It features an onboard toilet as well as a wireless trolling motor to avoid obstructions when you’re a going for the Walleye. There’s also a cooler with ice to keep your drinks chilled when you’re out on the water.
Walleye are a personal favorite catch for many fishermen as they’re so fun to catch. Trolling and drift fishing are the main methods, which are both plenty of fun and they give you the chance to learn a new casting skill.
Walleye taste great, so your catch will be cleaned upon request at the onshore cleaning station at the end of your trip. Walleye also love to chase after live bait, which will be purchased before your trip begins.
You’ll need to take a raincoat, food, and drinks with you (no glass or hard liquor). As well as this you’ll need to book a fishing license, which can be done online, before your trip. Once you’ve booked the license and the trip you can look forward to a memorable day of wrestling with the Walleye.
