Tide Walker Charters are based in Cape Coral, Florida, and run fishing trips at Pine Island, Boca Grande, Cape Coral, Bokeelia, and Matlacha. Captain Russ has more than 37 years of experience in the field and is an accomplished artist and public speaker in addition to being a savvy fisherman. Beginners and children are always welcome as Captain Russ is always happy to introduce more people to the exciting world of fishing.
You will be fishing on a 24’ VIP Bay Stealth center console boat that is powered by a 150 HP Yamaha engine. In addition to all the necessary safety and navigation equipment, it also sports two live wells, as well as a 10’ Bimini Top to provide you with enough shade during the hot summer days. As of October 31, 2017, Tide Walker Charters have caught over 18,000 fish on this boat, so it definitely gets the job done.
Your regular fishing trip will involve sailing up to around three miles out to catch fish such as Snook, Pompano, Redfish, Grouper, Mackerel, Tarpon (when in season), and more. After the trip, Captain Russ will clean and fillet any fish you catch, place them in a ziplock bag, and provide you with some ice for the trip home.
The price of the trip includes rods, reels, and lures, bait, as well as a valid saltwater fishing license and Snook tag. A Yeti type cooler can be found on the boat to store any drinks you might want to bring and includes lots of ice and free bottled water. All that’s left for you is to bring a pair of sunglasses and a smile so the trip can begin.
