Play Baby Charters

Even those who are new to the world of fishing know that the Keys are some of the best fishing grounds in the U.S. With it being one of the country’s best fishing, it makes sense it has some of the country’s best fishermen too. With a lifetime on the Keys and over 30 years of running charter tours, Captain Benny Spaulding and the Play Baby Charters crew know what they’re doing and where to take you.

They run trips on their boat, the "Play Baby". She’s a 41’ Norseman Sportfishing machine that has been part of the Spaulding family since 1963. The Play Baby has been recently renovated and modernized. She’s equipped with new diesel engines and state of the art lighting, audio equipment, electronics, and light tackle.

When you join aboard the Play Baby Fishing Charter, some of the most common (and popular) species of fish you may catch range from Mahi-Mahi, Blackfin Tuna, and Grouper during the summer months. In the winter you can expect to go after Sailfish, Wahoo, Yellow Tail Snapper and King Mackerel. Of course, those aren’t the only fish you may be lucky enough to hook along the way. Live bait is sometimes prepared before the trip, or it’s caught during the trip, depending on conditions.

Bottled water is provided, so if you have a sweet tooth take along some snacks or fizzy drinks. The crew is hard working and very enthusiastic about fishing. Their goal is to provide you with the ultimate fun fishing experience. Everyone is welcome aboard, from children and beginners to experienced anglers. Fishing is their passion and it shows!
