I took my 10 year old son on a four hour trip with Capt. Cory, and we had a great time. The boat was great, Capt Cory was very friendly and helpful, which was important to us as we’re still pretty new to fishing.

We only caught one fish we could keep, but a giant storm rolled through the area just before our trip that I’m sure affected the fishing. From the sounds of it, it seems like others in the area weren’t heading any better luck either. But I accredit that one fish to Captain Cory’s knowledge of the area, experience, and dedication to making it a good trip got for us.  He moved us around to multiple places he knew of to help us out . Because of that, I highly recommend him and will likely book another trip with him in the future.

He’s also very patient with kids (and beginners!), I can’t recommend him enough.

Captain Cory is a 1st Class operator.  Punctual, friendly, and absolutely someone I’d fish with again.  He was a great communicator during the booking, and before the trip to ensure we knew what to expect. He is very cordial, polite, informative, helpful, and let us do our thing, while he did his…which was put us on fish, and he did!  A large cold front arrived overnight, and air temps dropped over 20 degrees.  This on top of a very unseasonably warm December, making water temps well above normal…this kept fish trading spots and feeds, and changing the bite.  He didn’t wait to long in a location if they were not eating. 

IMO, the perfect blend of “I got this” and “you know what you’re doing”.  His boat was clean and tight, perfect for two fishermen for sure.  His tackle and gear are first class, stuff I’d use.  He knew where the fish were, and the bait options that made the difference today.  Merry Christmas Ya’ll.  If you’re in this area to fish, dial him up.  I don’t believe you’ll regret it.

Capt Cory by far was the best I have ever got a chance to get on a boat with. I originally was going to take my son on a cheaper charter boat. But then took a chance on Capt Cory. So glad I did. My 16 yr old son was happy too! The Captain treated you as if he has known you for years. Never been so relaxed. So please don’t think twice if you are looking for a private charter. I promise you won’t be disappointed. His experience and knowledge is top notch. We definitely found us a forever guide when we come down south. Allow him to be yours as well. I never used this website before, my father and I were in town for one day found our captain had the day available booked him instantly within a 24 hour noticed and he confirmed the appointment. We booked a half day trip for 4 hours and it was worth every moment. Boat was nice, the fishes were out and loved the bait he provided. Friendly and did make our first experience perfect no complaints

Another great trip with Captain Cory Russell.  It was a beautiful day and we caught our limit of redfish.  Captain Cory works hard to find the fish and we did.  We went to several locations to fish. When were not successful in one location, he moved until we caught fish.  Thanks Captain Cory for an awesome time.
