Jay was an amazing Captain and we had the opportunity to meet Captain Buddy after our trip.  Jay was so knowledgeable and made our shark fishing trip so memorable.  Captain Buddy spoke with us after our trip to make sure we were truly happy with our trip.  Both gentlemen made us feel like they rolled out the red carpet for us and gave us a memorable trip.  Even working with Casey was a great experience too!  We were so happy with the trip and look forward to seeing them again the next time we’re in Hilton Head.  In a world where you can choose who to take a fishing trip with-choose Captain Buddy and Jay!  You won’t be disappointed!

This is our second year with Captain Buddy, and we had another great trip! We had some windy conditions but we always felt safe because he knows what he is doing. He is so great with the kids and is a wealth of knowledge about all things fish. We caught some shark and his wife passed along a shark taco recipe which we made that night for dinner, they were delicious! Our kids are already excited to go fishing with him next year. Thanks again Captain Buddy!

Captain Buddy was great.  We chose an afternoon guided fishing tour and it was a great day to be on the water - except for the extremely strong winds - which definitely impacted our fishing.  But we made the most of it and tried a variety of locations and techniques.  I wasn’t sure how the fishing would be knowing the temperatures were going to be cold and there may be strong winds - so it wasn’t a total shock. But Captain Buddy was still awesome - teaching us a variety of new techniques - coaching my son the entire time - sharing stories about HH and the inland waterways which were fascinating - and keeping it fun.  We had a few on the line on multiple occasions but couldn’t boat them (I blame my father in law for that. haha).  But we didn’t go away empty-handed and Captain Buddy made sure my son at least caught one for the day and that made it worth it.  We will definitely use Buddy again when we are back in the summer and know he will put us on the fish immediately (when the fishing is a lot better).  He even offered to discount the trip for us since he was so disappointed in not getting us on the fish - and for that reason alone - I would use him again.  Look forward to being back on the water with Captain Buddy in a few months.

As a going away present for a close friend I scheduled a trip with Buddy and we had a blast. He knows the waters very well and navigated the inshore waterways to a few of his “secret spots”. Johnny on the spot with tying new rigs as we attempted to lose all of his tackle in the snags :).  The boat is clean and has plenty of space. Tackle and rods/reels were up to the job and newer. Super cool dude, which made the trip even more of a great memory. Oh, I almost forgot, yes we did catch fish.
Already planning our next trip which will be with Captain Buddy’s!!

Buddy is an extremely nice, intelligent, and helpful fishing guide. We did the 8 hour trip and were targeting fish to catch and eat. When we met on the dock Buddy already had the plan for the day and took us out to an artificial reef where the fish never stopped biting. Every fish we caught Buddy would help identify the fish and explaining some of the unique characteristics to help us identify the fish on our own. We ended up with enough Black Sea Bass to feed the family and then some. Planning to book with Buddy next time we are in town, highly recommend Buddy for everyone.
