With experienced guides by your side, you can only have a successful day on the water! Captain Mark and his daughter Ingrid welcome you to Lake Texoma. Their charter, 289 Striper Guide, offers fishing trips year round, so any time of the year is great for some rod-bending action.
Capt. Mark enjoys teaching novices to fish, so you can join regardless of your skill level. The trips are also suitable for elders or people with physical disabilities. While they can’t accommodate a wheelchair, there is plenty of seating on the boat, so someone with a walker or someone who cannot stand for 4 hours will get the opportunity to rest and fish at their own pace.
For this comfort, the captain decided to use a pontoon boat for these trips. You’ll be fishing on a 28’ Crest model, that’s been restored in 2020. There’s enough room for 6 guests to join, whether you’re fishing at the same time or resting. She’s powered by a 175 HP Evinrude engine, navigational electronics, and a live bait tank.
You’ll mainly target for Stripers but during the offseason (winter time), you will fish for other species inhabiting the lake, most notably Catfish. There are two trips every day, so you can choose between the morning and the afternoon one.
The captain will cover everything you need for fishing – rods, reels, lures, and bait. You’ll need to purchase your fishing license and bring some snacks, drinks, and hats.
289 Striper Guide ensures a fun and relaxing time with your friends and family on board. Enjoy a few hours in nature and leave your day-to-day worries on the shore.
