Smart Fishing Charters is an owner-operated charter boat service specialising in providing world class fishing opportunities to suit any taste. From beginner groups and families with kids to veteran anglers looking for the ultimate offshore action, Smart Fishing Charters has the means and the knowledge to get you reeling in some amazing fish, and having the time of your life doing so.
The vessel you will be spending your day aboard is the “Skipjack”, a 30 ft Butt Cat catamaran. Cruising at a respectable 20 knots, she has plenty of space to carry 7 guests to some awesome fishing. As well as having lots of deck space, catamarans are famously stable vessels, making the Skipjack perfect for families and those prone to seasickness. The vessel comes equipped with all the essentials for some awesome fishing, including GPS and fishfinder to track down the best spots, outriggers for top-class trolling, and nothing but the best fishing gear to make sure you land your catch.
Your trip with Smart Fishing Charters could see you fishing anywhere from calm bays to open ocean, and as such the Skipjack comes equipped with a massive variety of equipment. A choice of light and heavy tackle is combined with the option to troll, drift, bottom fish, spin, jig, pop, and even fly and spearfish to make sure you are always using the most effective technique for your chosen species or environment - it’s the smart way to fish!
As well as offering some of the best fishing South Africa has to offer, all Smart Fishing Charters trips come with tackle, lures and bait (when available), so all you have to do is turn up, and at the end of your trip all your catch will be cleaned and filleted for you ready to take home, so remember to bring a big cooler, because you won’t be going home empty-handed!
