Our boat rides dry and has 2 big decks to fish from. Biggest inshore boat in town, Big Als Inshore Charter Service has been fishing the Mosquito lagoon for over 40 years and they always know where the fish are biting. Captain Al has a slightly different technique than most of the guides in the area, using light line and live bait. On most days this pays off big time and he’ll show you how.
You’ll be fishing on an 25’ Carolina Skiff that runs on a 175 HP Suzuki engine. It's a spacious vessel with enough room for 6 anglers to join and you can all fish at the same time. With a GPS and fishfinder electronics and a wireless trolling motor, you're all set for success.
You can choose between a half day and a full day trip, depending on how much time you want to spend on the water and what you want to target. Whatever you choose, it’s a fun ride! Some of your targets for the day are Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, and Snook. Capt. Al is a live bait fisherman and the type of bait you’ll use depends on the season.
You get to keep the catch after the trip and Capt. Al will clean it for you. Just ask for a restaurant recommendation and go straight there with the freshest fish fillets.
Your fishing license and equipment are fully covered. There’s bottled water on the boat but feel free to bring other beverages and snacks of your choice. Kids are welcome to join as well.
The boat departs from River Breeze park in Oak Hill, George Kennedy Park in Edgewater, and New Smyrna Beach Causeway ramp.

Quick trip
Choose Big Al!
We were very pleased with our trip on Big Al's boat! Al is very experienced, had lots of information and insights about the lagoon and how to be successful in catching some big fish. Sam and I caught a variety of fish, and Al was very helpful and accommodating in assisting us as needed. I had told him I wanted to see manatees, dolphins and maybe sharks, and we saw them all! Sam even caught a shark, which was very exciting and a once in a lifetime experience! I recommend Big Al for an enjoyable, informative and successful fishing experience!

We had a great morning. We all caught fish & really enjoyed the beauty around us. We saw many birds ( we really loved the white pelicans) & the dolphins playing kept us all smiling. Brits fishing champion day!
Big Al was really good with the kids and very knowledgeable of the water ways and the fish. The highlight was catching a shark and also the puffer fish were funny! The location was stunning and we saw sea manatees and dolphin which was on our bucket list! We had just the best day and Al made our holiday really special! Thanks so much for a wonderful day! 100% recommend!!!

Caught a Shark!
I would highly recommend Big Al for your next fishing trip. He was great with my son, teaching him a few "tricks of the trade". Big Al worked hard for us during our 4 hour trip, working to help my son catch a shark. Near the end of the trip, Big Al delivered and my son caught a shark. Big Al helped create a great memory for my son and myself and we will be ever grateful. Thank you Big Al!
