NC Inshore Fishing Charters and Captain Mike Hoffman welcome you to Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Capt. Mike specializes in backwater fishing but he's always on top of the game whatever it may be by keeping a close track of where the fish is. From the shallow flats and bays to the lakes and rivers, NC Inshore Fishing Charters has what you need to make an amazing fishing trip!
You'll fish from a 22ft Jones Brothers flats boat that can accommodate 6 guests. It runs on a 115 HP sazuki
engine and is equipped with excellent navigation technology, livewell, as well as a wireless trolling motor. There will also be an ice-box to store all your fish and drinks.
Some of the species you'll encounter include Spotted Seatrout, Blacktip Shark, Bluefish, and Redfish. Using both light and heavy tackle, you'll catch them by spinning, jigging, and drift fishing. You get to keep and take home all the fish you catch.
Captain Mike will have you covered for fishing licenses, all the fishing gear, live bait, and lures, and he'll also clean your catch. Before you depart, you should just make sure you have some food and drinks packed.

We had a good day on the water even though more bites n catches would have been good but thats fishing for u. We saw several dolphins n jelly fish which was cool. Captain Mike was very knowledgeable and fun to be around n I would recommend booking a fishing trip on his boat.

Half Day Trip on August 16, 2025 • 3 adultsCaptain Mike got us on some fish! I booked thia charter with my buddy and his son (my Godson). Boat was very clean and ran well. Plenty of room for us. Good rods and plenty of live bait. The Captain was super knowledgable and new all the good spots. We caught a ton of re drum and kept our limit. Caught some monster flounder as well but they were not in season. Also caught some black drum. We kept the red drum and Captain Mike cleaned them for us. We cooked them that night and it was delicious. Highly recommend this charter.

This was the perfect trip - the captain knew where to go and we got 3 days worth of dinner of red fish. The mornings are the best - we went out a little before 7 am, also to beat the heat. If you want a nice, no stress, calm fishing trip, this is it!

Firstly, Captain Mike was absolutely amazing! When a crazy snowstorm rolled in, he was so great about working with us to reschedule and made the whole process easy and stress-free. He’s incredibly personable, super knowledgeable, and made the entire trip such a fun experience. He obviously loves what he does! It was an unforgettable day, and we’ll definitely be back this summer. Captain Mike is the man!
