The Mystic Marlin is a new boat added to the fleet of Blue Sea Sportfishing. Captain Gerardo has years of experience fishing in Cabo, and he knows everything there is to know about these waters. He’ll make sure you have a completely immersive experience when it comes to sportfishing in the area.
You’ll head out on a newly restored, 28’ locally manufactured offshore sportfishing boat, powered by a 210 HP Cummins engine. The boat can accommodate up to 4 anglers, so it’s great for a day out with a few friends. It features a tank for live bait, a fish finder, a radio, speakers for music, and a cooler for fish.
Expect to come across fish like Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, Roosterfish, Tuna, Grouper, and different species of Billfish.
Captain Gerardo will provide you with all the fishing equipment you’ll need for a great offshore experience, including rods, reels, tackle, and lures. Depending on your ambitions, you can visit either the inshore waters, explore the reefs, or head further offshore, testing a variety of fishing techniques along the way.
Please note that the fishing license and the bait are not included in the price. Kids are absolutely welcome!

The best charters in Cabo!

My second year with Blue Sport Fishing and all I can say is they're the best! love Captain Cesar; he knows his stuff. caught a trophy marlin with him last year. If you want a personal experience at a reasonable rate book with them. I've been the only one on the boat so if dont you want a 6-pack or larger passenger setup to decide who gets the rod, they're your go to. Can't say enough about my experiencs with them. Johnny is super communicative and keeps you in the loop on everything. Cant go wrong with this team!

Bucket list experience

After a bucket-list kinda day, I conclude that catching Marlin is hard, for both seasoned fisherman or newbies like us. The captian and crew were extremely experienced, and knew where and how. They were aggressive in pursuing leads and hunting down the Marlin. We ended up with a 100+ pounder towards the end of our trip. I can't say it will turn out like this every time, but this team will definitely give you the best chances. Bravo to Mystic Marlin for a gaint catch and for a memorable New Year's Eve 2025.

Tight Lines!

Another amazing trip with Cesar on the Mystic Marlin!! And to top it off we also had the pleasure of his Son as first mate. After our trip last year with Cesar, we made sure to request him again and we were not disappointed! This crew are true fishermen through and through. No electronics needed, just experience. And they put us on the fish...again! It was amazing to watch Cesar and his Son work as a team to chase the bait and set the hook. I cannot say enough good things about them. Even when we showed our inexperience with landing large game, he was right there with kindness guiding us through the whole process to get the catch to the boat. Never missed a smile or a positive word, even when we'd miss the fish due to our mistakes. If you want the true experience of a lifetime, book these guys! Trust me, you'll have many stories to share once you're back. And for a bonus tip, bring breakfast tacos and drinks for the captain and crew. You're generosity will be returned ten times over :)

Great service on a slow day
Full Day Trip on November 27, 2025 • 2 adults
Johnny and Cesar did a great job for us even though we didnt find many fish. Comminication was excellent. We came from a cruise so started a bit late (which didnt help our fishing chances). They communicated well in advance with what to expect and directions to meet up. Got us on the water super quick. I asked to target Rooster fish even though its not the best time of year for them. They tried hard, alternated between trolling for Mahi, Marlin and then in close for Rooster. Only a couple strikes and nothing landed. But the effort was there. Boat is comfortable, has a workkng toilet and two fighting chairs. Nothing too fancy but totally adequate. I would use them again and recommend to others.

Booked this trip last minute because of the great reviews and it didn't disappoint. We met up with the crew at the marina early morning and made sure to arrive at least 30min early to buy out licenses and some snacks. The bait was puchased right before leaving the marina. Johnny and Cesar were very attentive to our needs. We caught our first fish(Dorado) 30min into the trip. Then a Marlin a few hours later. Johnny was very helpful in assisting to make sure everything ran smoothly. He and Cesar made time to swing by the Arches to take pictures with our fish. Our trip was only half day which was plenty of time. Water was a bit choppy but overall a good day with good weather. Next trip to Cabo we will definitely be booking with the same crew! Thanks guys for an amazing day!
