Fishing the Lower Laguna Madre at Texas’s southern most trip offers anglers world class inshore fishing opportunities for Speckled trout, Red fish, Snook and Drum.

The Laguna Madre bay system has an average depth of 3 feet and is approximately 30 miles in length. This hyper saline body of water boosts areas of crystal clear water which has a thriving ecosystem. These combined characteristics have made the Laguna Madre bay one of the top fishing systems for anglers in the United States. On any given day the bay is brimming with Speckled trout, Red and Black drum, Snook, Flounder and Mangrove Snapper. Catches of Spanish Mackerel, and Jack Crevalle are not uncommon.

Capt. We had a great day with captain Dave. He was very helpful but not overbearing, he made sure we didn’t get stagnant in one spot and made sure we got into the good spots. We went out on a really windy day out of season and still caught several decent sized fish. We would go out again and would recommend him to those looking for a fun day fishing.

The day was great, the fish weren’t biting, but Captain Dave found us some great fishing anyway. Give him a try you won’t regret it.
