First time visiting South Padre Island with my wife and family also first time deep sea fishing and I can say I was definitely not disappointed. Almost didn’t get to go due to the weather so the captain pushed it back one day and gave us an extra hour. We caught black spotted trout, gator mouth trout and our highlight of the trip was catching our Texas trophy trout. Came back home and had fish fry for the family to enjoy. Definitely recommend to anyone and looking forward to coming back again.

First time fishing with kids, choose Captain TJ Boom treats kids amazingly. Not sure if my kids would like fishing so choose short trip just in case, big mistake kids had a great time Captain knew exactly where to fish. Everyone caught something, captain hooked bait, cast reels and removed fish for everyone. Made sure to teach along the way. Definitely returning for longer trip. Highly recommend if you have young family and want them to learn to fish.

Second trip with TJ Boom Fishing and another great excursion. Caught several Trout and my daughter had fun messing with the skipjack that were active. Also saw a pod of dolphins up close and had a front row seat to the SpaceX launch. Great time and would highly recommend.

TJ was friendly and professional. I never take the time to write a review but I am doing it for TJ since he deserves it.  We were meant to be out for three hours but due to circumstances beyond TJ’s control we were out for almost 5 hours - no extra charge.  Caught a great redfish as well as many others - TJ recommended where to go to have them cook the fish.
