We chartered a full day off shore trip with Elier.
We immediately got onto Mahi and Yellowfin tuna. We lost two Mahi right off the bat but then hooked into two Yellowfins followed by a nice sailfish for my wife! We then caught another Yellowfin tuna. Towards the end of the day my daughter caught 2 blackfin tunas.

Even if we didn’t catch fish today, Elier is a fantastic Captain and his crew member, Anthony, worked the entire 8 hours. When he wasn’t busy rigging poles, he was filteting our tuna for us, or busy changing our rigs to better our chances.
This crew knows how to fish and they were professional and hardworking. The lunch provided was delicious and there were plenty of drinks in the cooler.
We couldn’t have asked for a better charter.

Captain Elier and his crewman, Anthony, were on time and very friendly.  After gassing up the boat we headed off to catch live bait.  Elier would explain what and why they were doing each task.  Both Elier and Anthony were very knowledgeable of the various species and locations that would offer the best opportunities for a successful day.  We ended up reeling in 3 tunas that Anthony expertly cut into fillets for us to take home.  As we were heading in for the day we experienced high waves, Elier estimated 9 ft waves, but our family felt safe traveling through the choppy waters with Elier at the helm. The only downside was the put in location.  It was a steep hill with rocks.  Had I known the conditions beforehand I could have been better prepared, as I have a disability the impacts my balance. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would recommend Soliel Sport Fishing to anyone looking to spend the day fishing in Quepos.

We can’t say enough about how amazing Elier and Anthony were! Our trip was perfect ! My husband practically cried landing his first tuna! Our boys 15 & 12 loved it too, the little one got a titch impatient fishing for bait but it was important for him to learn and see the process! The sea was a wonderful site of aquarium life, too many spinning dolphins to count, school of stingrays, giant sea turtle, diving birds, you name it we saw it! I loved how all the fisherman wanted each others boat to succeed. They called and talked about where the fish were. It was a great life lesson for my boys to get to witness ! Pura Vida !

Such an amazing charter with this crew. My fiancé and I chartered this boat in hopes of landing a sailfish and it did not disappoint. The captain and first mate were very attentive and very knowledgeable. I was amazed by how efficient they were with getting line in, rebaiting, and getting it back in the water in less than a minute. They were prepared and worked diligently during the whole charter. So much respect!! Highly, highly recommend to anyone!

This year instead of gifts for Christmas, we decided to enjoy family experiences. Our fishing trip was a huge success! Our captain and first mate arrived on time with a smile and ready with water, snacks and all the fishing equipment, Our goal was to catch something for us to cook up for dinner. We caught 3 huge Mahi Mahi -sushi grade! This adventure exceeded our expectations: Lots of fish jumping out of the water, dolphins swimming nearby and even a huge sea turtle swimming along side us for a few. These guys are pros and love what they do! This trip is highly recommended.
