The smell of the ocean, the scream of your reel as the line goes tight, the sight of a huge Blue Marlin taking your bait – fishing out of Mazatlan is a truly awesome experience. No-one knows this better than the Aries Fleet team. They have been working these waters for decades and take pride in showing off just how good the Sea of Cortez really is.
The Aries IV is the perfect boat these legendary waters. Headed by English-speaking duo Captain David Cabanillas and first mate Manuel Gomez, the vessel is a comfortable, safe place to spend the day. She has A/C, a head, and masses of deck space. She’s also loaded with enough tech and equipment to bring in some real monsters.
The boat has modern marine electronics to help Capt. David pinpoint his favorite fishing spots. She has outriggers to run multiple lines at once and twin fighting chairs in case of a double-header of Marlin or Sailfish – not uncommon in Mazatlan. She also has a livewell for your bait if you choose to use it.
The surrounding seas are home to huge Sailfish and 3 species of Marlin. And they’re not alone. Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and more roam the depths here. With such a wide mix of species, you’ll need a range of lures and quality fishing tackle to bring them in. That’s exactly what you’ll get, set up by Manuel to match your chosen species.
The Aries IV is fuelled and waiting for your dream offshore adventure and the bite is always hot in the Sea of Cortez. So jump aboard with your fishing license and food and drinks and get ready for a trip you will never forget.
