Species like Amberjack, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Gag Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Sheepshead, Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Swordfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, and more inhabit these waters if conditions are right. You can expect to do some spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

You’ll be casting lines from a 47’ Catamaran with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, along with lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

You will need to buy a basic and saltwater fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. Don’t forget to bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation.
