Fishing Tin Can Bay was established to further share the passion and enthusiasm for fishing and boating on the calm water side of Fraser Island…The Great Sandy Straits. Join Captain Jim for an adventure, available year-round. All trips are family-friendly and suitable for anglers of all skill levels. Whether it’s your first time holding a rod or you’re here to level-up your game, you’re at the right place.

Jim is proud to be skippering his own spacious purpose built vessel to suit your individual needs.  This 20’ Stessco center console is capped at 4 passengers plus crew to provide a more intimate setting along with more one on one time with the skipper. She’s powered by a 200 HP Yamaha engine and features modern navigational electronics, a live bait tank, and a cooler.

The versatile fishing spots offer all kinds of fish species, both freshwater and saltwater ones. You can go after Barramundi, Tailor, Golden Trevally, Snapper, Sweetlip Emperor, Mackerel, and more. Switch between trolling, bottom fishing, and spinning to catch your favorite fish. You can have the whole boat to yourself, or take a shared trip and join other anglers.

The captain takes care of your fishing equipment, food, and drinks. You only need to purchase your fishing license and it’s recommended to bring your sunglasses, hats, and sunscreen.

Fishing Tin Can Bay looks forward to welcoming you aboard soon for your next fishing adventure!
