The Red Dawn - Captain Tampa

East G Simmons Parkway
Ruskin FL, United States

The Red Dawn is a 24’ Carolina Skiff that has a top speed of over 40 mph fully loaded. We can fish up to 6 people very comfortably. She is outfitted with a large hard deck T-Top to provide shade on those hot summer days as well as giving a bird’s eye view vantage point. The boat is furnished with a full package of modern electronics, live wells and dry storage as well as all the required safety equipment. Her specialty is gettting into the shallow grass flat areas of Tampa Bay, but she has the muscle and stability to get out into Florida state Gulf waters for an amazing offshore adventure.

The boat is also available for for manatee, dolphin, and bird watching Eco-tours are Captained by NOAA Dolphin Smart certified operators. We specifically hand picked this vessel for fishing in the Tampa Bay area because of its flexibility, comfort and high quality.

On an inshore trip in Tampa Bay, you will be fishing bridges, wrecks, artificial reefs, natural live bottom and ledges for Tarpon, Redfish, Black Drum, Snook, Kingfish (King Mackerel), Spanish Mackerel, Jack Crevalle, Bluefish, Sheepshead, Grouper (Gag & Red), Snapper (Mangrove & Lane), White Grunt, Porgy, Sea Bass, Sea Trout, Cobia, Shark (Black Tip, Sandbar, Atlantic Sharp Nose, Nurse & Bonnethead) & Barracuda.

Had a great trip. Nice day out in the gulf. Captain Blake knows where the fish are and will do everything possible to keep you on fish. He even worked with a non fisherman to keep him catching. Three of us went out and have no idea how many we caught. I know my arm was tired after all I caught. I didn’t expect such a trip but was so surprised at the whole trip, we talked about the next time.
