Come to Texas and have a unique fishing experience exploring Laguna Madre and the Baffin Bay. Based in Corpus Christi, Gone Coastal is here to take you on exciting Flounder gigging trips! Join Captain Kyle Ardoin and explore the flats as well as backcountry waters.
The captain will be steering a 20’ Triton aluminum fishing boat that runs on one 90 HP mercury engine. The boat can carry up to 4 guests. Its GPS and fishfinder will take you to the fish quickly, and the fan motor will allow you a quicker move on the water. The onboard fishing gear includes gigs for each person.
A typical trip will take you exploring the shallow waters in search of delicious Flounder. You’ll meet the captain at the dock, get to your spot by boat and then get out, and walk around in knee-deep waters in search of some fish to gig. Besides Flounder, you may also get a chance to target Sheepshead and Black Drum. As you prowl the flats, you could also encounter Blue Crab, stingrays, and even the Texas state shell, lightning whelk!
The captain will provide you with everything else you need for a successful gigging trip, including a backpack cooler that he’ll bring. When the trip is over, Capt. Kyle can also clean and fillet your catch. Yours is only to bring your licenses and pack any food, snacks, and drinks you want.
See you in Corpus Christi, your starting point for discovering the Texan beauty.
