Come to Marathon, Florida, and have lots of fun fishing its productive waters and observing the numerous surrounding islands. Runaway Sportfishing Charters and Captain Jay Daniels can take you to the best spots both nearshore and offshore. Catch various species, explore reefs and wrecks, and enjoy Florida's rich marine world.

Your trip will start on 'Runaway', a 45' Sheldon Midgett offshore sport fishing boat. With its powerful 660 HP Cummins engine and top-quality navigation gear, it'll give you a comfortable, dry ride to the hottest fishing spots. The boat's extensive equipment includes outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and livewell.

Among the onboard facilities, there is a toilet, bed, showers, as well as a flybridge. To maximize your comfort, there's also plenty of space, air conditioning, a multimedia system, and an ice-box. There will even be a first mate on board to give you any assistance you may need.

There's a huge choice of fishing techniques for you to try out. They include bottom and deep sea fishing, trolling, spinning, jigging, popping, and even drift and kite fishing. To name some of the lovely species you'll have the chance to catch, there's Mangrove Snapper and Mutton Snapper, Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, and Blackfin Tuna.

Captain Jay's boat is always kid-friendly, so don't hesitate to bring your young ones as well. Travel a short distance to some of the best reef, Cobia, and Shark fishing spots. Bottom fishing and trolling will make sure the icebox is full. Regarding the fish you catch, you can choose whether to take it home with you or release it.

Included in the price of your trip are rods, reel, tackle, fishing licenses, live bait, and lures. The captain covers you with everything except for food and drinks, so be sure to pack some before you depart.

Book today and secure yourself a real sea adventure!

Runaway with Capt Jay & 1st Mate Donnie
Half Day Trip (PM) on December 23, 20246 adults
What a great trip! Both these guys were super knowledgeable. We caught some delicious fish in not super great conditions. Captain Jay was extremely communicative and even called to let me know the weather wasn't gonna be super ideal - if we wanted to cancel. But we chose to push forward. We had a blast despite the choppy conditions and still caught several fish. I highly recommend a trip on the Runaway. The boat was nice and roomy. Special shout out to Donnie, the 1st mate and fishing Sherpa, he was great to chat with and helped us alot on our journey. If you get a chance to go out with Captain Jay don't hesitate, just book the trip.
