No matter who you are, whether you are disabled or have no experience fishing at all, Captain Dan Edwards is ready to welcome you on board his boat. A disabled veteran himself, he knows all the tricks of the trade to have you fishing like a pro in no time!
You will spend the trip on his 22’ recently restored Century boat. Coupled with 150 HP engine and Capt. Dan’s extensive knowledge of the area, you’ll have your lines in the water very quickly. From the spring to the fall you will fish Charlotte Harbour. In the summer, you will fish the Florida Keys – Capt. Dan will follow the fish and make sure you get on them too.
If you would like to snorkel that is absolutely fine – please note, there is no snorkeling gear on the boat. You need to bring your own equipment and let the captain know beforehand that you would like some time on the trip to snorkel too.
This area is known for its great Tarpon fishing – why not test yourself against these Silver Kings. The Tarpon trips are great for people with more fishing experience. Over 60% of hooked tarpon break free after they’ve been hooked, so successfully reeling them in is a big deal. This is the ideal place to test your skills.
You will target a large range of species on these trips, such as Red Grouper, Snook, Tarpon, Spotted Seatrout, Pompano, Blacktip Shark, and many others too. You will use a range of techniques on these trips, depending on what you are fishing for. If you wish to spearfish, please bring your own equipment and necessary licences.
You can take the man out of the military, but you can’t take the military out of the man – Capt. Dan pledges to use his knowledge learned while serving to pay attention to every detail of your trip and make sure you have a fantastic fishing experience. He is looking forward to welcoming you aboard!
