Went fishing on April 25, 2016
We had a morning trip booked with Eugene and he had a taxi pick us up right at 7:30 sharp! Got to the boat and his crew was ready to go as were we. Heading out we made it 20 minutes when we hooked a Barracuda - about 3 feet and kept heading to the big water. We were trolling for about 1 hour when one of our group provided extra fish food in the 10 to 15 foot swells with 3 - 4 foot wind chop. The boat handled the water extremely well but part of our crew needed to head back in.
We made the run to the beach to drop off 2 members who had very little sleep the night before so Eugene took the remaining party to go bottom fishing for the rest of the charter. Had a great time as the sky opened up to warm sunshine on the blue green waters and the fishing was good. We were taught how to use hand lines as the natives do and we did well. Brought back a bag full of fish which our chef made into lunch - really great eating!
Eugene had a bag full of sandwiches, fruit and goodies to go with the ice cold beer, soda and waters for all aboard. He was a good host and great fisherman! I recommend he and his crew to all looking for a good time on the water in Las Terrenas!
