Unforgettable day!!! Jaff and José were truly amazing. They led us to the fish, and with great skill and a little luck, we had plenty of strikes. By the end of the day, we had caught three sailfish and two tuna. One sailfish broke free, and another violent strike resulted in a broken line. The boat is beautiful, with top-notch equipment (six rods in the water), a delicious lunch, and plenty of cold drinks always available. At the end of the day, we returned to port with wonderful memories. Highly recommended!!! Thanks guys.
Bucket List delivered! Fishing wasnt easy with the ocean really warm, but we still managed a mahi, a sailfish and bunch of grouper and snapper. most importantly, Captain Jeff and Jose showed us a great day on the water. The boat is spotless clean and comfortable. The captain and mate focus on taking care of clients and these guys put in the work, all day. We’ve done charters in a lot of places. Few compare to the overall experience of fishing with Bucket List. We’ll be back!
Met up with Captain Jeff at the marina to start our day bright and early. His boat is nice, clean, and organized. His honesty up front that it has been tough fishing the week or so was appreciated. We told him we were here to turn his luck around! He was willing to do whatever it took to get us on fish, even if that ment going 40 miles out, which he did. First mate Jose was hustling too, dropping lines, switching lures, swapping fresh bait. His abilty to coach you reeling in fish was top notch. The lunch offered to us was homemade deliciousness! And of course we broke Captain Jeff’s dry spell, we had multiple hook ups and ended up landing four sailfish!
I’ve spent decades chasing billfish and tuna on blue water all over the world, and I can say without hesitation that nobody works harder to put you on fish than Captain Jeff and deckhand Jose with Bucket List Sport Fishing in Quepos. These guys are relentless (honestly, they should just rename the boat “Relentless” because that’s exactly what they are). From the moment lines are in the water until the sun drops, they never stop fine-tuning spreads, reading the ocean, and grinding for every single bite. Their knowledge of the local bite, seamanship, and pure hustle is off the charts. If you want a captain and mate who are 100% dedicated to making your day epic, book these two – you will not find a harder-working, more fish-obsessed team on the dock.
We had a great trip with Captain Jeff and Jose! These are the guys to go with if you are booking a trip! We got on the sailfish quick and caught the fish we were after! Captain Jeff made moves if things got slow and kept us on fish the entire trip! Jose knows everything there is to know about fishing and really helped our kids during the fishing.
Jeff and Jose were awesome! The boat is fantastic, super comfortable, and filled with more tackle and gadgets anyone could need to catch fish! They’ve perfected their craft and it shows! We had a slow start but doubled up on sailfish around mid-trip and then added another before heading in! Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back!

We caught sailfish, grouper, tile, mahi, and trupletail. filled the coolers and feed everyone for days. lunch was great. Captain and mate were friendly. Awesome time.

We did a whole day with Jeff and Jose. I would definitely recommend it as the morning was slow but at noon the fish started biting. Caught 4 Sailfish, 3 Yellowfin Tuna, and 1 Dorado. This was during the slow season and no other boats that went out got anything. Great crew and they took care of us every step of the way.

I didn't want to get my hopes too high and be disappointed but this crew blew it out of the water. Knowledgeable, professional, and just generally great to be around, the captian and 1st mate couldn't have made this any better of a trip. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Jeff and Jose were absolutely amazing. After catching a storm the first day they let us try again and we ended up with a great trip. We will absolutely be back to fish with them in the summer season! Do not hesitate to book a trip with them!

The captain and mate were exceptional! Within 5 minutes of dropping the line, my 70 year-old husband reeled in a nice Mahi Mahi, and it just got better and better. He caught 4 more, then 2 large, spectacular sail fish. The captain was on the best fish the entire time, and the mate didn't get a minute of peace between baiting the rods, assisting my husband reel in the catches, and using his skillful fillet techniques to clean the Mahi Mahi for us to take home. The boat was beautiful and the mate kept it so clean you could have eaten off the deck at any point. The equipment was top-notch, from the teaser riggings to the rods. The snacks just kept coming, the lunch was great, and the cooler was full of everything you could possibly want to quench your thirst. We have done many charters over the years, but I have never seen my husband as happy as he was with this charter. We truly got what we paid for and then some!

Jeff & Flaco are amazing people. this is our 2nd year fishing with them. They feel like old friends. we laughed joked and everyone had a great time. Even if we didn't catch fish we would still of had a great day. like they say "fishing is fishing not catching ". Luckily we caught a lot of fish. 13 sailfish the first year, then came back with a mission and landed 18 and lost 4. it can't get any better than these guys. We were thinking about another country next year, but we'll come back here just to fish with our new friends🤠
