Norval Reef Charters - MV Norval

Shute Harbour Rd
Cannonvale QL, Australia

The Norval runs extended tours of 3, 6, and 9 day trips. We travel to the outer reef and beyond, up to 200 miles offshore - we go to catching areas that might only get visited by 10 boats a year! The travel out to the fishing grounds is done through the night so as not to waste any fishing time, but the captain will anchor in a place where you can fish all night if you prefer.

The Norval is a very comfortable timber vessel with a great top deck for relaxing after a big day of fishing. She is fully air-conditioned for your comfort, and travels at a comfortable 8 knots with stabilizer arms to make for a smooth ride.

The Norval has 3 tenders that are licensed to take 4 passengers so you can explore the reefs and shoals all around the catching area. You will be provided with everything except hooks and sinkers, and can choose between many different fishing techniques. If you love snorkelling, there are parts of reef that no person has ever seen just because of the remoteness of where we go. All your catch is filleted or gut and gilled ready for trophy mounting, whatever you choose
.
Finally, we like to make sure that no one who tours with the Norval ever goes hungry or thirsty - 3 good meals a day and a choice of beers and soft drinks are provided.

THE ONLY THING BETTER THAN FISHING IS FISHING WITH FREE BEER

Thanks,
Ron Murphy [owner operator]

About the Charter Operator

Norval Reef Charters
Cannonvale, Queensland, Australia
Member since June 2015
Ron Murphy is the owner-operator of Norval Reef Charters. He began working around boat-building shipwrights in his teens, as well as fishing off the local jetties. As a young man, he bought a small tinny, then moved to an old timber vessel, which he brought back to its former glory and fished up and down the coast.
