We started off in a very calm nice morning. The captain briefed us about the boat and equipments as well as a rough itinerary. The day was awesome, the sea was relatively calm, and we had few bites in the first hour. However, we did not have the luck until we caught A 13kg Wahoo!! The captain was very helpful and supported us while we fought the fish. After a while, the captain switched to a bottom fishing which i caught another decent size mackerel. The overall experience was amazing!

During our week stay in Cancun, I booked two fishing charters with Golu, and offshore trip and an inshore trip. Overall the experience was top notch. Capt Mario and first mate are clearly very skilled and experienced in navigating the waters around Cancun, and they are expert fishermen as well. The 25’ skiff is remarkably seaworthy for its size, and I never once had any concern that it could not handle the relatively rough ocean that we encountered. The same boat seemed perfect for the inshore lagoon trip the next day. I would definitely recommend Golu for either type of charter!

We cannot say enough good things about this fishing charter. Captain Mario and Sammy were amazing, and the operation is the most professional thing I have witnessed. Captain Mario and Sammy were extremely friendly and inviting. The fish were not biting, however, the crew did EVERYTHING they could to get a fish on for my husband and me. We were able to catch a Mahi and I, sadly, lost the one I had on the hook, but it was a fighter!!!! We also got the chance to deep sea jig, which produced 3 fish. I had never seen this technique and it was exciting to learn. We have been on many charters in different areas of the world, and this was our FAVORITE! The crew made this trip special, and we could see the hard work and dedication they have. Captain Mario even helped us with the bus system when we returned to the dock. If we fish in Cancun again, they will be our first choice!! Book this charter!

Captain Mario and his man were extremely informative, helpful, and the best crew we’ve experienced so far in Cancun! On our past trips to Cancun, we paid double the price for not nearly the personalized experience that we had fishing today. Captain Mario, was knowledgeable on the lagoon area as well as offshore. Today we caught barracuda and a jack. We actually are thinking of going on another fish fishing excursion off shore with him this trip. He supplies the lures, drinks and snacks. He owns the boat and handles all the paperwork. Very clean boat. Two engines. Felt very safe! Five star trip!!!!!

We had an incredible day of fishing with Mario and Sammy! Mario was excellent at communicating quickly during booking and before our trip and they were ready to go when we got there. We caught 4 big tuna and a barracuda. Those tuna fight hard so it was a workout bringing them in! At the end of the day, Mario dropped us off at a marina restaurant and asked the chef to cook our catch. We ended the day with an amazing tuna feast…we wished we had more people to share with! It was an awesome experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a day of beautiful deep water fishing.
