Join Twistedpalms Salty Adventures for an unforgettable day on the water. Captain Shults has been fishing for over 30 years and enjoys providing a quality experience to his guests. Safety is paramount and he will not book a trip where the safety of his passengers is a concern. He has been fishing the local wrecks and reefs in the Pensacola area for over 5 years and will place you on spots that hold lots of tasty fish.

You will board a comfortable 27’ Tidewater boat for a quick ride into the Gulf, or bays depending on the winds and tides where you can target a variety of species. This center console is big enough to accommodate up to 6 guests, so bring your friends and family along. She’s powered by twin 200 HP Yamaha engines and features Garmin navigational electronics.

Captain Shults enjoys teaching people the great joys of our oceans and inland waters. He will work hard to put you in the best position to catch your limit. Snapper and Triggerfish season is one of the most popular times to fish. You will have a chance to catch Snapper or Triggerfish of your lifetime, while possibly hooking into a huge Amberjack, Cobia, Grouper, Kingfish, or even a stray Mahi Mahi.

There are no guarantees with nature. However, during your trip, Capt. Shults will do everything he can to keep you in the action.

    Have kids who want to swim and dads wanting to fish? Let your guide take you on a trip which allows 2 hours of fishing and 2 hours of playing. Head to the intercoastal areas and drop some lines in the weedbeds searching Trout and Redfish for two hours. Kids can drop a shrimp in the water and catch Pinfish or Trout, while dad fishes. For the last 2 hours, you can anchor on a shallow island flat, where guests can float and swim. This is a great summer trip for the whole family.

Once your arms hurt from deep dropping wrecks, we can set out the trolling gear to target big Kings, possible Tuna, or other species within the 9-mile radius.

    This trip is a trolling only trip. There are a variety of species that attack big diving plugs, top water poppers, and rigged ballyhoo. You have a chance to hook into a big pelagic fish such as King Mackeral, Wahoo, Tuna, or Mahi-Mahi. The crew will set out the outriggers and a spread of 5-6 lines with a variety of rigs to entice the fish to bite. Catch rates may be limited but the hook ups will be exciting. This is a relaxing trip cruising the ocean looking for grass beds and busting schools of fish.

I grew up fishing and have a love for our waterways. I always looked for an excuse to go fishing. I used to fish Bass tournaments until a friend took me out in the ocean. There is nothing more exciting than to drop a line in the ocean and hook into a monster fighter. The greatness of fishing in saltwater is not knowing what’s on the other end of your line until it breaks the surface.
