Fishing the historic Potomac River has never been easier. Join Potomac Joe’s Fishing Service for a day and see what brings anglers across the whole country to this area. The most important thing for any angler is how bountiful these waters are, but an important part of the whole experience is also the beauty of its nature. Enjoy passing by the submerged trees, diverse vegetation, wildlife, and historical sites, such as wooden steamships from the WWI era.

You’ll be fishing on a 21’ Stratos boat that welcomes up to 2 guests. This bass boat is powered by a 225 HP Evinrude engine and features Humminbird Gen 2 navigational electronics - so you can count on reaching the right spot and fast.

Capt. Joe specializes in catch and release fishing for Largemouth Bass. Besides Largemouth, there are many other species you can go after such as Yellow Perch and Catfish. All of them are fun to catch and a delicacy to eat. Depending on the current regulations, you’ll be able to keep your catch (not Largemouth Bass), so start looking for some fish recipes. You’ll mainly use light tackle to get your catch.

The trips are suitable for anglers of all skill levels, so don’t hesitate to join. All you need to do to get ready is to pack some food and drinks for the day. The captain will take care of your fishing license and equipment by bringing a variety of rods, reels, and lures.

Captain Joseph has over 30 years of fishing experience. It all started when he was a kid, fishing with his family. At only 15 he bought his first boat and fell in love with Bass fishing. Since then, he has won many tournaments, some of them local and some on the state level.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
