Wehrman's River Adventure
You don’t have to wait for the spring to go fishing! Join Wehrman’s River Adventure and fish Lake Superior. Captain Cory offers ice fishing trips from the beginning of December till the end of February. He has spent most of his time outdoors and doesn’t let a frozen lake stop him from catching fish. If you’ve never experienced ice fishing, this is the right time. Warm up and get out on the ice for some hot fish bite!
Captain Cory will meet you at the Washburn Harbour unless you agree on a different location. He’ll take you to your fishing spot and set an Eskimo tent to keep you warm. Nevertheless, make sure to dress properly and pay extra attention to keeping your feet warm.
Your guide is an expert in targeting Salmon and Trout but there are other species you can catch as well, such as Northern Pike, Walleye, Yellow Perch, Whitefish, and Herring. You get to keep the catch, so leave some space in your freezer at home for tasty fish meat.
All fishing equipment is covered by the captain but you need to prepare your fishing license. Pack your snacks and drinks for the day as well. It’s recommended to get in touch with the captain before the trip, so you can discuss the details, especially if this is your first ice fishing adventure.
