Fishing in the Everglades needs no introduction – the fish are big, the action is superb, and the scenery stunning! Captain Martin Carranza knows all the best fishing holes and he has spent almost 2 decades showing his customers the park’s beauty and abundance.
The waters of the area are teeming with fish, often quite big and challenging to catch. On his full day trips to the Everglades and Islamorada, your guide will make it his business to put you on the bite. Anything from Tarpon, Redfish, and Snook to Speckled Trout and Snapper is in the cards, and if there’s a particular species you’d like to target, just let him know.
On half day excursions, you’ll stay in the Biscayne Bay, where you can focus on landing your Saltwater Grand Slam – Bonefish, Permit, and Tarpon. If you’d like to go for a mixed bag, then Tripletail, Spotted Seatrout, Redfish, and Snook are also in the game.
Your fishing platform is an 18’ Beavertail Strike – a flats boat, rigged with a 60 HP Suzuki engine and well-equipped for inshore and nearshore fishing escapades. On it, up to 3 anglers can fish comfortably. The vessel sports a trolling motor for those moments when you need to be extra stealthy.
There’s a range of quality fishing gear for you to use, including brands like Hatch, Shimano, Fin-Nor, and Sage. Whether it’s live bait or lures you prefer to use, Capt. Martin will provide it.
Half day trips come with drinks, while on full day options, there will be sandwiches on board to keep you energized. You’re welcome to come with your kids and teach them how to hook their first fish, and there will be life jackets for them on board. All you should think about is landing your next trophy.
Your Everglades fishing adventure with Captain Martin is but one booking away!
