Sur Reel – Big Buoy Fishing
Do you want to experience a tropical vacation and still have reel-screaming action? Now you can, with Big Buoy Fishing. Captain Eric Goetz will put you on the hottest bluewater bite off the coast of Guatemala while providing you with premier lodgings.
You’ll embark on your angling adventure on board his 31’ Bertram offshore sportfisherman, the “Sur Reel”. She was originally launched in 1970 and, like a fine wine, has only gotten better with age. The vessel was fully rejuvenated in 2014 – you can expect modern amenities combined with old-school quality. You can bring 5 of your fishing buddies with you out into the offshore waters.
Sur Reel is fully equipped for serious sportfishing; everything on board is there to give you an edge over your prey. The captain will navigate from the flybridge and spot topwater fish. You can drop outriggers when trolling, they’ll allow you to wet more lines at once. Once you get a strike, make sure to strap in the onboard fighting chair – the fish you’ll target are tough fighters!
Prestigious pelagic predators are your main targets with Capt. Eric. You can go after Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and whatever else takes the bait. You can keep all fish for yourself unless they’re Billfish – those are catch and release only.
After a full day of fishing, you’ll retreat to the comfortable lodge. King-sized beds, a pool, 9 rooms, 11 bathrooms, and tasty home-cooked food – it’s all in place so you can rest up before the next day on the water! Fishing takes place between 7 AM and 5 PM every day.
Whether you want to treat yourself to a vacation with your friends or introduce your family to fishing in comfort, Big Buoy Fishing is the way to go! Book a trip today and make the first step to your next favorite fishing and vacation destination.
