Mister Sportfishing is based out of the famous Oak Orchard River and offers to show you how to fish these waters like a pro!
Capt. Jon is here to get you on the trophy fish you've been dreaming about and to make sure you have a blast. In this charter, you'll be trolling to get those bites. As part of their 6 to 8-hour trips, you can target species like Brown Trout, Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout, and King Salmon, depending on the current season and weather conditions.
For most of the season, Mister Sportfishing's primary location is at Ernst Lake Breeze Marina. The whole month of April, they run Brown Trout Trips. Then move the boat to Olcott, NY, for May for the spring King Salmon and Trout bite. Then come back to the Oak Orchard for June–Sept.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 33’ Trojan International that can safely take up to 6 anglers. This boat features a fully equipped washroom. All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what matters, fishing. Don't forget to buy a fishing license before the trip!
You'll be able to keep any legal species caught during the trip. We welcome clients of all ages aboard the 10m Trojan International, please let us know of any special circumstances and we would be happy to accomodate.

Great trip with the family!

Had a wonderful trip with two of my 12 year old grandsons and their fathers! We traveled from Ohio and I was worried that the weather or fish wouldn’t cooperate. Turned out to be a beautiful day on the water. Capt Jon worked hard to put us on some nice Kings and Steelhead. He was great with the boys, providing thoughtful guidance on how to catch and handle the fish. We limited out and had a load of fish to bring home. Would definitely charter with Mister Sportfishing again!

Captain Jonathon and his first mate Arron did a fabulous job. My son and I were had a great day. They worked so hard to not only put us on the fish but to keep us on them. They took extra time to work with my son and give him pointers and tricks. My son was reeling a fish in before they even had all the rods in the water. Will definitely be looking to book them again in the future. Best of luck the the captain and his crew on the tournament this weekend.

We were really pleased with result on our trip! Limited out on lake trout, my 14 lb. Laker especially nice! My wife really enjoyed catching nice king salmon and some lakers. Our two friends with us, who have fished a lot all over US, Mexico and Bermuda, we’re really impressed with our guide, 1st mate, and comfort of the boat…oh yeah, they enjoyed catching fish just like us😊 Great time! Plan on coming back👍🏻

4 hr brown trout special on July 10, 2025 • 6 adults
We thought an afternoon/evening trip might be hot and tough fishing. It was a little hot, but when Captain John and Hunter found them and got us reeling in Browns and a couple of Atlantic Salmon, you forget about the heat. We kept 9 and threw back the rest. We had fun and will be eating fish tonight on the grill. We are from Georgia and would do it again if we come back up here.

He was patient with all of our questions. He was very helpful with my father--an 89 yo former Marine with some mobility issues. He made me dad's trip to Rochester! They caught several brown trout---he filleted and deboned them---they were delicious! Even told me the best way to cook them. Shared pics with us to keep as well. Will definitely use again! Highly recommend.
