Are you ready for an offshore adventure that will have you fighting some awesome deep sea pelagics? Then you need to book a trip with Anxious Sportfishing today. Kona is one of the few places in the world where you can have a short ride out and still have a real chance at hooking a giant pelagic fish!
Captain Brian Schumaker has been fishing for decades and running this charter company since 2005. He is ready and waiting to show you a fantastic time on the water.
Step on board Capt. Biran’s 36’ Bertram boat, lovingly restored in 2016. This vessel can easily have you and 6 fishing friends on board. When trolling, you’ll take it in turns to fish so as to prevent tangling.
This boat has twin 315 Yanmar engines to help get you to the fishing grounds fast. A short ride out will have your lines in the water before you know it. Pair this with full navigational equipment, including fishfinder, and Capt. Brian’s extensive knowledge of the area, and you’ll be on top of the fish all day long.
Whichever trip length you choose, you’ll have a fighting chance of catching your dream fish. The longer the trip the higher the chance of course. Your main target for the day the hard-fighting and awesome Blue and Striped Marlin. You’ll also have the opportunity to catch Yellowfin Tuna, Shortbill, Mahi Mahi, and Wahoo.
All billfish are catch and release, but for other species, the captain will happily fillet your catch for you. Also included in the price are all of the Shimano reels and custom made rods. This gear won’t let you down when reeling in your dream catch. Your fishing license for the day is also included.
You are welcome to bring along food and drink. There is a deli at the harbour to buy from that can go into the captain cooler on board.
There’s no better time to book. Start making unforgettable memories with Anxious Sportfishing today!
