Waipae Magic Charters
Waipae Magic Charters caters to anglers of all skill levels and ages. This charter isn’t just about catching fish, but also about exploring the area’s nature, learning the history of Maori and European settlement. The crew has permission to undertake marine mammal watching and swimming excursions. You can encounter Orca, dolphins, whales, and fur seals.
The vessel you’ll be fishing from is called Waipae Magic, a 24’ aluminum power catamaran. This boat offers a stable and safe ride, allowing up to 5 guests per trip. She’s powered by twin 115 HP Mercury engines and reaches the speed of 25 knots. The boat is also wheelchair accessible and features outriggers, a live bait tank, and a cooler.
Spend a few hours targeting a variety of fish, such as Pink Snapper, Gurnard, Tarakihi, and pelagic species, like Marlin and Tuna. There’s a variety of fishing techniques you can use and the crew will suggest the most efficient ones, depending on the circumstances.
All fishing equipment is included in the price but you need to cover your fishing licenses. Don’t forget to bring sun protection and pack some snacks and drinks for the day.
Waipae Magic Charters offers these trips year round. Discover beaches of unspoiled beauty, catch some big fish, and learn about the local history. Just let the crew know when you’re coming!
