RiverTrek NW – King Salmon
RiverTrek NW is gearing up for a fantastic Columbia River King season! Salmon fishing in the Columbia River is without a question one of the biggest angling attractions in Oregon. From Astoria to Cascade Locks, this area is well-known for its abundance of King and Coho Salmon. Captain Wade Grant will track and follow these fish, making sure you have the best opportunity to reel in some prized catch.
Your trip will start on a 23’ Willie Boats aluminum fishing boat that can accommodate up to 6 guests. It’s powered by a 250 HP Yamaha engine that can reach a maximum cruising speed of 50 knots. For navigation, the boat uses all the modern GPS, autopilot, a fishfinder, and technology that will help you stay safe and on the right track throughout your trip.
Fishing the rivers of the Portland area will give you an excellent chance to catch Spring Chinook, Summer Chinook Salmon, as well as Columbia River Fall King and the prized Upriver Bright. You and Capt. Wade will chase these challenging fish on light tackle by trolling and drift fishing. You’ll get to keep your catch and take it home for a delicious dinner.
Capt. Wade will provide you with all the rods, reels, and tackle as well as snacks and drinks. He can also clean and fillet your catch at no extra cost. Just make sure to bring your fishing licenses and lunch before you arrive on the boat.
Come aboard and have a great fishing trip with RiverTrek NW!
