The crew at Hatts Off Fishing Charters take pride in providing a friendly and memorable experience for every customer who comes aboard their large tournament Hatteras boat. They are a group of highly experienced and hard working fishermen who will go the extra mile to put you on the fish. They are happy to teach you the best techniques and maneuvers in order to land the fish of your dreams, and love to take out families with kids who get to hear amazing fishing tales.
The boat is a 46 foot Hatteras sportfisherman with two 450 HP Detroit Diesel motors. It was built in 1979 and restored in 2014, and is subject to regular maintenance to insure the best performance and reliability. It features outriggers, a flybridge and a fighting chair which is a must-have if you are after the big catch such as Blue Marlin and Sailfish. The boat also has a toilet, a GPS and a Furuno fishfinder to help locate the best fishing spots.
The Hatts Off Fishing Charters crew knows what’s biting in the beautifully clear waters of Aruba and they use top of the line rods, reels, tackle and live bait in order to catch it. The species most commonly caught are Blue and White Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin and Albacore Tunas, Wahoo, King Mackerel, Amberjack and Barracudas. The crew are happy to clean and fillet your catch and advise on the best restaurants in the area that will cook it for your lunch or dinner.
They also speak fluent English, Spanish, Dutch and the local language Papiamento.

Captain Rusty got us on the fish and first mate Sherwin made sure we got them in the boat. For 8 hours they worked nonstop. We ended up with 4 nice mahi-mahi a black fin tuna and a big fat yellowfin. Not sure we could have asked for a better fishing excursion. Sherwin was a wealth of information about Aruba and shared it with us. Dilly dilly gentlemen!

We took a half day charter with hats off and we were very pleased. First off the Mate and Captain were very friendly and eager to please throughout the charter. They knew what to do and within about 30 minutes of leaving the dock we were on the fish. I caught 8 fish in total varying from Mahi Mahi to Black Fin Tuna, to Bonito. All were decent size fish and a couple very nice in size. I would recommend using this charter anytime you want to fish. Boat was very nice as well. Enjoyed the entire trip and if ever I go back to the island I will definitely be booking again!!
