We were out on a windy day and caught 3 nice sized barracuda right away. Went out further following the birds, Captain Daniel and his first mate were working hard to get us on some mahi-mahi. They weren’t biting today and we were a little disappointed, but not for long. They took us to a wreck and we caught a beautiful mutton snapper and not much later we landed a nice sized amberjack. We booked our trip for four hours but Captain Daniel came through and kept us out close to five to make sure we had a memorable day.

Took this trip with my wife and teenage son.  Day started off with some T-storms that morning that cleared around 8:00.  Capt Danny called and said he was going to wait out the weather and he would still give us our full time on the water.  We boarded at 8:00 and tried some inshore fishing for about 45 minutes while the storms finished pushing through.  After that we headed off shore.  Seas were a little rough but Capt Danny managed to put us on a couple of nice Mahi.  After a few hours offshore battling the waves and seaweed, we came back in to try and hook a tarpon.  Despite some good effort and fresh bait, we couldn’t entice any of them to bite, but hey, that’s fishing.  We still came in with the 2 nice Mahi and Capt Danny and Juan put forward a great effort to try and get us some more fish.  Both of them were top notch and I would most definitely book another trip with them again!

Sorry for writing this review so late, due to some personal matter. This trip is definitely once in lifetime! We caught several jacks, keep some of them for dinner and some for bait, and it works out! We caught a 55’ mahi mahi by trolling with the jack, definitely weight 30lbs. Then we caught a smaller mahi mahi on our way out. When we reach the sword ground, the captain and the coach caught a swordfish down in 2300 feet of water, we let it go to protect the species. Then we head back and troll on our way in, try to target tunas. We didn’t give much hope since it’s already an epic day, but all of a sudden, two fish are on! One is on trolling rod and one is on light tackle. The fight is amazing and it takes 10+ minutes to get the fish on the light tackle. First live tuna ever seen in my life, and they taste amazing. The crew is so professional that I learn so many techniques during the trip, I can’t get the fish in the boat with out their coaching!

We had an amazing time on Blue Dream! Captain Danny was awesome and so was his partner Matt. They are very knowledgeable about fishing, boating and were excellent educators to our two boys ages 8 and 5. We caught a ton of fish and then ate it for dinner after they filleted the fish for us.  We cant wait to go back soon!! Danny’s wife does all the booking and is so helpful and informative as well. AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!

Great day out with Captain Daniel and Matt!! Perfect weather, great bite! Little hiccup trying to kite fish for sailfish thanks to the birds but an amazing day with professional, knowledgeable crew who put you on the fish. Also if you are in Miami Beach you can take your catch to Monty’s and they will prepare! When back in Miami we will definitely look up Blue Dream Fishing!!
