We fished in tough conditions. It was a post cold front day and the water temps had dropped ten degrees.  Mike tried a bunch of spots where we got lots of short strikes.  We saw plenty of snook and a few redfish, but fish ignored our live bait for the most part.

We caught some mangrove snappers, one snook, and a small black tip shark. I had a big fish grab a bait and hold on for a while, but it broke off.  Both the snook and the shark were very lethargic in the cold water with not much of a fight.

Mike worked very hard on a difficult day to get fish on our lines.  We still had a good time.  The mark of a good guide is how he responds to difficult conditions. In my opinion, Mike did an excellent job. I would be happy to fish with him in better conditions.

While the weather was challenging due to windy conditions, Captain Mike’s knowledge of the area and fish types was what saved the day.  Trip resulted in catch and release of several good sized Snook, Trout and Snapper.  Also had keepers of Trout enough for a good meal or two.  Captain Mike was always ready with a new spot if the one we were at wasn’t producing the results we wanted.  His vessel was clean, well equipped and maintained.  I would definitely recommend his services if you’re looking for a good time with an experienced and attentive Captain.  Thanks, Captain Mike…Hopefully I’ll see you again next year - this time with the Grand kids.

I had scheduled a full day tarpon trip and Mike called me and told me we should change the trip to a half day trip because the weather was not going to allow us to complete the original trip and we would probably be disappointed.  I can’t tell you how much it means to have someone be completely honest and help me to save some money in the process, especially when he could’ve taken advantage and just gone through the motions.  Our half day trip was great and he put us on a bunch of fish and the experience was something I’d be very happy to do again.  I would def recommend Capt Mike!!  Thanks so much!!

My family returned bubbling over with excitement having caught an interesting assortment of species. Even though strong morning winds prevented an offshore excursion Captain Mike knew where to find success for our kids. Thanks for a great experience!

For the second year in a row, Mike provided us with a great catch-and-release fishing experience! He took us to a spot where we managed to hook tarpon and catch catfish; we then changed locations and were able to hook mackerel and trout and catch trout as well as a black-tip shark! He was helpful and very nice, a wonderful captain and guide. My 3 kids (ages 7-11) and I enjoyed the experience immensely. We fished with Mike last year and enjoyed it so much we contacted him this year as well! He did not disappoint!
